If you plan to drive your Audi forever, there will come a time when you’ll need to replace the engine. Eurotech Auto Service & Repair advises that your Audi’s engine is a machine and machines have limited lifespans. Do not worry. We can replace your Audi or other European automobile’s engine when it’s time to do so. Bring your Audi to our shop for an engine inspection if you notice any of the following.

Constant Overheating

If you are Audi overheats constantly, this is a sign that you have a cracked engine block. Unfortunately, something as severe as this generally requires an engine rebuild or replacement. It may also be that we need to replace the cooling system in the Audi if it can no longer be repaired. Do not drive your Audi if it is overheating. Driving it will only cause additional engine damage.

Continual Knocking Sounds

Continual knocking sounds can be a sign that there is a problem with the rods and rod bearings. Unfortunately, the knocking that you hear is the sound of the pistons banging against the cylinder walls. This can damage the cylinder block and cause a need for an engine rebuild or replacement. If you end up with a broken rod, the engine will need to be replaced.

Excessive Exhaust Smoke

Excessive exhaust smoke is a sign that the Audi has a serious fluid leak that might require a new engine. This is especially true if the color of the exhaust is blue. This is a sign that the engine is hemorrhaging motor oil, and the more you drive your Audi the more you damage the engine. Unfortunately, we may need to replace the engine to resolve the problem.

Metal Shavings in the Oil

Another problem with the oil is metal shavings in it. If you see metal in your motor oil, stop driving your Audi immediately. This is a sign that the engine is disintegrating into the motor oil as it flows over the moving parts. We cannot repair a dissolving engine. We have to replace it.

Noticeable Power Loss

Finally, your Audi’s engine may lose power all the time simply because it is worn out. If you have noticeable power loss when you drive your Audi or other European automobile, it’s possible that the engine has reached the end of its life span and needs to be replaced.
